Mission Statement

Our aim as childcare professionals is to care and support children to develop and learn new skills, to ensure children have the best possible start in life, so they can reach their full potential and be the best they possibly can be.

We will achieve this by listening to the parent and the child to gain a clear understanding of their needs, concerns, likes and dislikes which will truly help a child’s development.

We will develop a care plan that is individual, because children learn, grow and flourish when they are understood, listened to, have an interest in and enjoy being in the environment they find themselves. During a child’s day at our settings, they will spend time learning through play. We will teach life skills such as turn taking, sharing, negotiation skills and communication

Children will have a time of free play, as well as introducing some structure into the day. Children will play with a range of toys and products that will encourage their imagination, questioning and reasoning skills. Every child will be encouraged to make choices, to use their imagination and develop fine and gross motor skills. We will help and encourage their hand and eye coordination, talking skills and helping them to understand their big feelings and helping them to find the words to express them.

Children will be able to use their imagination; a box can be transformed into a car, cooker, pirate ship, space rocket or hide away. Through a child’s play and imagination, we will help them develop their creative thinking and negotiation skills, children will learn through mistakes, taking risks in a safe environment and talking about ideas.

We will play in the garden each and every day, watering the flowers or splashing in the puddles, making a snowman and flying kites, feeding the birds and making magical memories, just like the ones from our own childhood. Children will never be left to play alone, left upset, worried or left to deal with big feelings on their own.

Children will always be encouraged, supported, valued, and cared for in a safe and friendly environment. Mealtimes will be a sociable gathering around the table where children will be encouraged to make good food choices by choosing from a selection of fruits and snacks. Children will be able to learn and make through the world of play. A child without play grows into an adult who finds it hard to cope in the real world. Children will play, because play is one of the most important things an adult can give a child, along with time, love, and affection
